BECOME MORE DARING
Letting Go of Identities, and Finding Freedom through Discomfort and Meditation

If you want to seek change, accept the change.
Change is happening right now, every single moment.
The resistance to change creates suffering.
Expectation of change to occur in a desired way creates pain.
Change is not about what you want to happen, but what you let happen.
Accumulation of knowledge delves attachment to the outcome of your efforts.
Hence acquisition of knowledge is a sensitive subject.
Knowledge should negate the knowledge.
It should open the gates of the dam of mind. Discharge the information that is deceiving.
Become empty.
Information that compels you to linger in the fantasies of past and future.
It keeps you busy basing something on the past so that you can expect something in the future.
Life is missed. Which is happening right now.
Celebration is not attended, as you are not attentive to the present movement.
When I write, I don’t execute with reference and context to anything.
Not Past, nor future, not even a scripture.
So will you seek that validates your sleepwalk, or do you want to open the gates to the vast emptiness from which all you have accumulated once arisen?
Will you drink from the free-flowing water of the stream of consciousness or you prefer quenching your thirst for the truth that is fabricated by the ego mind?
Would you like to grow or let your ego grow?
Growth is a natural phenomenon.
To understand the phenomenon, the steroid of external validation has to be stopped.
The constant need to cement decisions based on past and future thoughts has to be stopped.
The gasoline that ignites the chain reaction in the fire of overthinking has to be stopped.
You need to pour water of awareness in this Hawan (Fire ceremony).
A fire ceremony of thoughts, which we think is making us intellectual.
But it is making us slaves to the past and future. To the mind.
Which creates a valour to protect the mind and what it has accumulated.
A quest to not give up the false sense of identity which is bondage to the mind.
I don’t have resistance regarding writing about spirituality and having drinks or two with my friends and family.
I don’t have any reservations about living a comfortable life.
I don’t think twice before creating something luxurious and that doesn\’t fit the obnoxious frames of spirituality created by mind.
I don’t feel the need to hide behind the wails of a robe.
I am available for life staying in the present moment.
Honouring what arises as an inspiration from the unmoving centre of our being.
Why have opinions if they restrict our bliss and happiness?
Then how to accept the change as it comes?
Do nothing.
You can dare to conquer the world like a tyrant.
Doing nothing, not even thinking is conquering the universe within and without.
Some signs will help you to facilitate the change in understanding the change for a while, as mentioned below.
In the end, everybody has to walk their own path.
Discomfort
Are you listening to something that urges you to question the nature of our existence?
Are you reading something that is not aligned with your present set of beliefs?
Do you go to pray only because others do so and out of fear of losing out?
If it does not create discomfort, you are only reading to validate your beliefs.
Praying before an idol is convenient because there is no confrontation with your hopes and fears.
You won’t listen to what you are reading right now from an idol.
Meditation is not an escape
Very often, meditators use the meditation to escape the reality.
Like a knife, meditation can be used to harvest the fruits of enlightenment and also to sabotage it.
A mind filled with garbage will always urge to sabotage the efforts of fruitfulness.
Because if there is nothing to see and experience in the state of nothingness, the meditator throws it off and slips into a state where he craves from the blissfulness.
This is nothing different than recreational drugs.
The goal of meditation is not to be engaged in a recreational fantasy while disengaging from reality.
The goal of meditation is to discard everything, the thoughts, the bliss and even the enlightenment.
To experience life as it is, not what you think it is.
To acknowledge the empty nature of things, and its impermanence.
The joy will follow
The bliss will follow
The Enlightenment will follow
Only when you are willing to let go of it.
Then meditation is no longer an escape from reality or the constant chatter of the mind or the life itself.
But only witnessing the life unfolding in front of you.
Master
Having a master does not mean you are tied up to the lineage your master belongs to.
The relationship between master and disciple is so sacred that it is incomprehensible with the mundane notions of systems and lineages.
Lineages are created to preserve the teaching and to carry forward them.
You as an individual draw from the richness of it but are not bonded to it.
The very basis of any relationship should be freedom.
To find a living master is to find freedom.
I was naive about this fact for almost Five years since I realised.
Until I found a living master, who has a master who has a master.
We don’t speak, we don’t meet. And my choice to be a disciple occurred naturally.
But the connection to a master affects your connection to the world.
We will be our body even if we are “enlightened” until the day of our death.
We will be operating in this world. Connecting with people.
There is dependence until we leave our body.
A master\’s is an opportunity to connect with the world on a sacred note.
An opportunity to seek freedom from the isolation that might come after enlightenment.
The mind tries to save itself and it even has phantoms for the period when it is gone.
Listening to a master diminishes the mind, and it is a fearful experience.
It is not for the faint-hearted.
